The venture will scale annual waste tire processing capacity to 160,000 tons, guide regenerative economy aims and offers an other optional feedstock for fuels and chemicals.

China-primarily based Niutech Environment Technology Corporation introduced that its majority-owned subsidiary, Shandong Hesheng Environment Technology Co., Ltd., has began out construction on a tire pyrolysis expansion venture that will boom the corporation’s annual processing capacity from 60,000 metric tons to 160,000 metric tons.

As per the corporation, the expansion will make Hesheng one of the world’s largest tire resource recovery operations the use of pyrolysis technology. The venture is anticipated to use Niutech’s industrial non-stop intelligent pyrolysis systems, which the corporation stated are formed to improve throughput, uptime and automation in comparison with traditional pyrolysis units.

Niutech mentioned the latest equipment is meant to lower working prices and improve the economics of large-scale tire pyrolysis venture. The corporation added that long-term period business operation of tire pyrolysis systems has been a undertaking for the industry, specially in reaching stable, continuous manufacturing at scale.

Tire pyrolysis is a form of chemical recycling that uses heat in an oxygen-limited environment to break down waste tires into products inclusive of pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black and gas. In the chemical area, pyrolysis oil can be used as an optional feedstock for fuels and chemicals, even as recovered carbon black can be used in tire manufacturing, plastics and other industrial materials. The technology is increasingly more getting used to guide circular economy goals and reduce reliance on virgin fossil-based raw materials.

As per Niutech, its tire pyrolysis oil has acquired international certifications that help sales into global markets, even as its recovered carbon black is being upgraded for higher-value applications.
