INOXAP setting up speciality gas hub in Gujarat to cater to electronics field

INOX Air Products (INOXAP), a main manufacturer of industrial and electronic gases, has declared a vital investment initiative to support the semiconductor and OSAT (Out sourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) sectors.

Speciality and bulk gases play a critical function in semiconductor fabrication, permitting precision in etching, deposition, doping, and chamber cleaning. Their extremely-high purity is crucial to wafer integrity, device overall performance, and fabrication yield.

INOXAP stated it has already received a land parcel in Dholera, Gujarat earlier this year, for construction of an ‘Electronic Specialty Gas Hub’ that’s lately in advanced stage of making plans.

The upcoming hub will production and provide Ultra High Purity (UHP) bulk and speciality gases – such as nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen – crucial for advanced semiconductor fabrication. “Designed as both a manufacturing and fulfilment centre, the hub will ensure dependable, contamination-free delivery to fabs and OSAT units across India,” the organization stated.

This investment forms part of INOXAP’s Rs. 500-crore outlay for increasing purification capacities, building import-linked supply chains for important gases, and deploying advanced shipping and packaging answers.

Speaking on the corporation’s plans, Mr. Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, INOX Air Products stated, “With the hub, we’re constructing the foundation for a self-reliant supply chain which can power the goals of global chipmakers and digital producers selecting India for putting in fabs. With a pan-India footprint, and a long time of operational excellence, we are deploying the full breadth of our engineering and execution capabilities for creating a world-class infrastructure.”

The facility will appearance to cater to demand from the Rs. 91,000-crore semiconductor production ecosystem being constructed round Tata Electronics in Dholera. Tata Electronics is constructing India’s first fab in Dholera, in a joint venture with Taiwan’s Power chip Semiconductor production Corp. As production progresses and the plant gears up for manufacturing, securing a constant and reliable deliver of ultra-pure chemicals and gases is paramount.

INOXAP also operates 6-large Air Separation Units in Gujarat for production liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon, servicing the industrial gas required of multiple production sectors which include semi conductors and solar cells.
