Elcogen, a leading European provider of solid oxide technology for green hydrogen production and emission-free power generation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JNK India Limited to evaluate strategic collaboration opportunities.

This development follows the recent appointment of Anil Srikar Pavuluri as Business Development Director for India and APAC at Elcogen. After a strong presence at India Energy Week 2026 in Goa—where Pavuluri, and Mikael Jansen, Global Director of Business Development, engaged with key industry stakeholders—the company reinforced its strategic push into the region. A key moment of the event was the signing of an MoU with JNK India Limited, representing Elcogen’s first collaboration with an Indian EPC firm and a major step forward in its expansion within India’s energy market.

Under the MoU, the companies will explore using Elcogen’s proprietary solid oxide stacks and modules for recover and utilize waste heat. Targeting on hard-to-abate sectors such as green ammonia, urea, and e-fuels, the collaboration will also examine hybrid systems that integrate alkaline and solid oxide technologies to lower the overall cost of green hydrogen manufacturing.

“The global energy industry is under transformation by the development of renewable energy, decarbonization initiatives, and digital technologies. Green hydrogen and low-carbon fuels are structuring the design and execution of next-generation energy projects,” stated Mr. Dipak Bharuka, Whole Time Director and CEO of JNK India Limited. He further noted, “As an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner, JNK India Limited supports customers to implement the most appropriate solutions tailored to their particular needs. Our partnership with Elcogen represents a strategic step to reinforce the green energy ecosystem and assist our clients in achieving their energy transition targets. Through innovation and collaboration, JNK India Limited persist to assist the global transition toward a sustainable, low-carbon energy future.”

The MoU assists Elcogen’s strategy to expand its footprint in the Indian market by partnering with JNK India Limited, a company with strong engineering, EPC, and industrial venture delivery across the energy and process industries. By this collaboration, both organizations intend to explore opportunities to develop efficient and scalable solid oxide–based solutions that support India’s clean energy transition.

“We are delighted to begin this dialogue with JNK India Limited and explore how we can work together,” stated Enn Õunpuu, CEO and Founder of Elcogen. “India’s energy sector is evolving rapidly, and partnerships like this help us better understand local requirements while contributing our experience in solid oxide technology. This MoU is an significant first step, and we look forward to seeing how the collaboration develops.”
