Aduro Clean Technologies has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with a guiding unbiased international commodities trading corporation, placing the stage for the industrial rollout of its Hydrochemolytic oil. The agreement will estimate the corporation’s circular hydrocarbon product for future offtake deals.

The LOI covers an started committed buy tied to Aduro’s First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) Industrial Plant, prepared for Chemelot Industrial Park in Geleen, Netherlands. It also establishes a based Pilot-to-FOAK validation program formed to confirm product specification, reproducibility, and downstream market alignment.

Under Phase 1, Aduro will give samples from its Next Generation Process (NGP) pilot plant for technical characterization, along with contaminant profiling and boiling range evaluation. Aduro will lead testing and analytics, with input from the trading partner, to outline product specifications and industrial value. Phase 1 is non-commercial, targeted at technical and economic characterization of industrial-scale manufacturing.

Phase 2 moves towards commercialization. The trading corporation has dedicated to buy the primary manufacturing parcel from the FOAK facility to guide downstream customer qualification, marketplace development, and shows of manufacturing dependability. Beyond this first parcel, the LOI is non-exclusive, permitting Aduro to involve additional partners as manufacturing scales. Except for the purchase commitment, the LOI is non-binding and subject to definitive agreements.

Policy shifts, along with the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), are increasing demand for traceable, certified hydrocarbon feedstocks.

Steam crackers use tens of millions of tons of hydrocarbons yearly, making even partial substitution with circular feedstocks a considerable opportunity. Industry research by MarkNtel Advisors evaluate the global chemical recycling market at USD 15.5-billion in 2024, projected to develop around 10% yearly by 2030.

Hydrochemolytic Technology converts polyolefin waste into a round hydrocarbon appropriate for traditional petrochemical upgrading and steam cracking. Pilot-scale tests have shown steady overall performance below industry-standard working conditions.

“This LOI brings collectively two essential factors for us, technical validation and an primary commercial framework,” stated Eric Appelman, Chief Revenue Officer at Aduro.

“The pilot stage work permits us to establish product specifications and decide commercial value of Hydrochemolytic™ oil with a global trading companion at the same time as the commitment to buy the first FOAK manufacturing parcel establishes the product’s primary industrial pathway.”

“Securing a structured offtake commitment on the FOAK level displays our efforts to align technology validation and market demand,” stated Ofer Vicus, Chief Executive Officer of Aduro.

“Circular feedstocks must meet the requirements of existing petrochemical infrastructure whilst also satisfying regulatory and certification standards. This LOI links our Pilot validation work directly to industrial manufacturing and marks an crucial step in our milestone-driven commercialization pathway.”
