Odisha’s chemical and allied industries are set for a significant global push as the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ltd (UCCIL) and the Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics and Dyes Export Promotion Council (CHEMEXCIL) joined hands through a landmark MoU.
Signed during a workshop in Bhubaneswar, the partnership targets to transform local chemical producers into globally aggressive exporters by providing businesses with the knowledge, skills and market access had to amplify beyond domestic boundaries.
The strategic collaboration will focus on unlocking Odisha’s untapped export potential in chemicals and allied sectors by linking local production strengths with developing international marketplace opportunities.
The MoU was signed by Pankaj Lochan Mohanty on behalf of UCCIL and Vishal Ganju on behalf of CHEMEXCIL, with both organizations devoting to a sturdy capacity-constructing programme for industries throughout the state.
Under the agreement, a series of workshops, seminars and training programmes may be executed to support businesses understand global trade practices, regulatory necessities, compliance processes and export documentation.
The initiative is anticipated to offer a significant raise to small and medium enterprises which have quality products but regularly face demanding situations in meeting worldwide standards and accessing overseas markets.
The partnership will also open new avenues for market enlargement via exposure visits, networking platforms and buyer connections, with particular focus on developing opportunities in sectors together with essential oils and fragrances.
Joint advocacy efforts under the initiative will further assist Odisha businesses leverage Free Trade Agreements, export incentives and programmes like District Export Hubs, lessening entry limitations and reinforcing the state’s position in global trade.
The UCCIL-CHEMEXCIL partnership represents a big move towards building an export-ready industrial ecosystem in Odisha and hastening sustainable economic growth through international commerce.
