thyssenkrupp nucera to expand TGV SRAACL’s caustic soda plant in Andhra Pradesh

The venture includes the installation of 3 additional electrolysers further to the 10 electrolysers that the plant recently deploys

TGV SRAAC Limited (formerly Sree Rayalaseema Alkalies and Allied Chemicals Ltd.) has appointed thyssenkrupp nucera to amplify their caustic soda facilities in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Thyssenkrupp nucera will enlarge the caustic soda plant from the existing 1,000 tpd to 1,500 tpd. The scope of the agreement covers engineering and proprietary supplies by using of group’s e-BiTAC technology with Generation seven elements.

The venture includes the set up of three additional electrolysers similarly to the ten electrolysers that the plant recently deploys. The scope of the venture also consists of setting up in a new chlorine and a Waste Air Dichlorination System, and improved requirement for the primary and secondary brine purification.

Speaking on the agreement signing ceremony held at Kurnool, TG Venkatesh, TGV Group Chairman, expressed his happiness that the venture had been signed. ‘This is a watershed venture for us, particularly since it entails increasing our plant extensively. We are convinced of the merits of thyssenkrupp nucera technology, and eagerly look for them delivering a modern day plant.’

thyssenkrupp nucera India’s Interim CEO and CFO Kiran Joseph, thanked the client for their believe in thyssenkrupp nucera’s technology, plant engineering skills, and the supplies sthat will be offered underneath the contract. ‘We are honoured to had been selected to implement this outstanding venture, and our group look forward to starting implementation. We have always prided ourselves on our capability to provide ‘below-one-roof’ solutions including after-sales services for the chlor-alkali industry,’ Joseph said. Thyssenkrupp nucera China’s CEO Keisho Cho expressed satisfaction that the venture could soon be underway. ‘We are searching forward to assist this landmark venture with proprietary supplies, and operating intently with our India office,’ he stated.

For thyssenkrupp nucera India, the venture serves to underscore the pre-eminent position they experience in the chlor alkali industry in India.

TGV SRAAC is the flagship corporation of the TGV Group. It is the main manufacturer of Chlor-Alkali products and also produces Castor Derivatives and Fatty Acids. It also operates a commercial Power venture of 28MW.
