Sekisui declares global price increase for key chemical products

Sekisui Specialty Chemicals is elevating prices all over its core product lines, signalling increasing cost pressures in the global chemicals market.

The corporation showed it’ll rise prices for Selvol Polyvinyl Alcohol, Selvol Ultiloc, Selvol Ultalux, and Selvol Premiol products over a multiple regions, with hikes taking impact April 15, 2026, or as current contracts permit.

Under the latest pricing structure, customers in North America and Latin America will see boosts of $350 per metric ton, at the same time as Asia confronts a sharper bounce of $650 in line with metric ton. In the EMEA area, prices will increased by using €550 per metric ton.

Sekisui Specialty Chemicals stated that it “stays committed to meeting clients’ require with high quality products,” even because it moves to regulate pricing globally. Customers are being counseled to contract their nearby sales representatives for more information.

The move impacts the corporation’s flagship Selvol line—high-overall performance polyvinyl alcohol polymers broadly used in industries ranging from packaging and construction to personal care and adhesives. Its latest Selvol Ultiloc copolymers represent a current growth of the product family, formed to deliver enhanced functionality.

Beyond Selvol products, Sekisui Specialty Chemicals also markets Advancell expandable microspheres and S-LEC BK polyvinyl acetal resins, strengthening its position in specialty materials.

The corporation operates as a part of the broader Sekisui Chemical Group, a multibillion-dollar global corporation with operations spanning housing, social infrastructure, and chemical solutions.
