Nissan Chemical Corporation is scaling up its worldwide agrochemical ambitions.
This, with plans to construct a new production facility in India for its next-generation herbicide Ryzonic (iptriazopyrid), a main product anticipated to drive future growth.
The new manufacturing facility will be established at Nissan Bharat Rasayan (NBR), the company’s consolidated subsidiary in India, as Nissan Chemical prepares for the global release of the herbicide and expects growing demand across major agricultural markets.
NBR was established in 2020 as a joint venture between Nissan Chemical and Bharat Rasayan, one of India’s main agrochemical producers and vendors. The joint venture started operations at its Saykha, Gujarat plant in March 2023.
The recent investment is designed to form a stable, long-term supply platform for Ryzonic, a novel herbicide found by Nissan Chemical. The company explained the venture as a deliberately crucial investment targeting at supporting future business expansion.
Construction of the new facility is scheduled for completion, with operations anticipated to begin in fiscal 2028.
Ryzonic is slated for commercial launch in 2027, beginning in key markets which include Japan and India before increasing globally. Nissan Chemical expects the product to reinforce its role inside the fairly competitive paddy rice herbicide marketplace while boosting global supply skills.
The organisation said the venture is not anticipated to have a large impact on consolidated earnings within the present financial year. Moreover, it’s anticipated to help earnings growth over the medium to long term as worldwide sales expand.
Nissan Chemical stated it’s will persist pursuing sustainable growth and growing corporate value in its agrochemical business through the application of its proprietary technologies.
