Mitsubishi Chemical raising flame-retardant compound capacity in China and France

Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) has choose to increase its production ability for flame-retardant compounds primarily based on polyolefins and thermoplastic elastomers, used for cable sheathing and different functions, at Mitsubishi Chemical Performance Polymers (China) Co. Ltd. (Jiangsu, China) and MCPP France SAS (Tiffauges, France).

The new capacities are available for response to significant increase in need for flame-retardant compounds as cable sheathing substances across a huge range of industries, inclusive of mobility, telecommunications, construction, and gas. According to MCC, its f LA retardant compounds are extensively utilized in applications which include automobile cables, sun energy technology machine cables, and sputter tubes, with call for developing especially in China and Europe in latest years.

The increased potential in China is scheduled to start operations in April 2025, whilst the France manufacturing will start up in January 2026.
