Under the MoU, BASF and AM Green intend to conduct feasibility research on low-carbon chemical compounds manufacturing in India along with a joint assessment of potential technology. The cooperation additionally consists of a non-binding letter of rationale for the offtake of a 100,000 tons annually of ammonia produced solely with renewable energy which include energy from pumped garage projects from AM Green’s flora in unique places in India.

This ammonia will meet EU requirements for renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) as described within the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III). Some of AM Green’s facilities have already been pre-licensed for RFNBO compliance thru the CertifHy voluntary certification scheme. Pre-certification for AM Green’s different centers is currently underway.

“We are dedicated to the sustainable transformation of the industries we serve. We are satisfied that India is the right place to explore low-carbon chemical production collectively with our companion AM Green,” said Dr. Kamieth.

Kolli stated, “We are overjoyed to partner with a international chemical chief like BASF to propel the inexperienced transformation in the enterprise. AM Green’s vision of deepening abilties in downstream fee chains of green molecules is middle to this partnership with BASF. AM Green and BASF partnership envisages to cater to a couple of chemical downstream and related consumer industries by using offering key inexperienced molecule feedstocks to provide chemical substances, materials and products inside the markets served by way of BASF.”
