Himadri Speciality Chemical stated it has begun the trial manufacturing at its Mahistikry (West Bengal) speciality carbon black expansion venture in December 2025.
“Once completely operational, this facility will not only make Mahistikry the world’s largest single-site facility for speciality carbon black in terms of manufacturing capacity, taking our total speciality carbon black potential to 1,30,000-mtpa, but also permit us to capture essential opportunities in premium markets such as plastics, inks, paints, and other area of speciality applications,” mentioned Mr. Anurag Choudhary, CMD & CEO of Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd.
Meanwhile, the corporation stated that 37% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 195-crore within the December quarter (Q4FY26), pushed by higher sales.
During the quarter, the corporation obtained a key benchmark with the initiating of the latest Mangalore Port terminal and the export of 3,600 tons of liquid coal tar pitch to the Middle East. “This fulfillment now only validates Himadri’s technical & operational abilities and product quality, but also establishes a second export corridor along Haldia, improving logistics flexibility and global attain,” the corporation mentioned.
