Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd. (GACL) dropped off the first consignments of benzyl alcohol and benzal dehyde from its newly delegated chlorotoluenes plant at Dahej (Gujarat) on July 5, 2025.
The virtual drop-off was carried out by Avantika Singh, IAS, Managing Director, GACL.
With a capability of 30,000-tpa, this state-of-art chlorotoluenes facility is the largest in India, and will manufacture high-value chemicals substances utilized in pharmaceutical, perfumery, flavour, agro chemicals, dyes and other industries, supporting exports and job creation.
“This strategic initiative emphasize GACL’s commitment to innovation, self-reliance, and sustainable growth,” the company stated in a social media post.
