hubergroup opens India’s first facility for Direct Food Contact inks

The Print Solutions commercial business of the hubergroup, a main expert in printing inks and speciality chemicals, has launch India’s first committed manufacturing facility for Direct Food Contact (DFC) inks in May.

The modern facility in Silvassa is absolutely separated from other production regions, placing new standards in safety, sustainability, and development for food packaging. The new plant not strengthens its position within the global market however also helps local businesses with worldwide-quality solutions.

The new facility manufactures the sheet-fed ink series MGA Contact, especially created for direct contact with food. These inks accept with rigorous global protection standards and permit printing on the inside of paper and cardboard pack aging, when coated with a dispersion varnish inclusive of hubergroup’s Acrylac DFC series. This opens up new design possibilities for packaging products like sweets, fruits, and fast food, helping the transition to more environmentally friendly, paper based solutions.

All raw material used in the manufacturing are very well screened, and the very last inks go through strict quality controls. The manufacturing adheres to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) concepts and is designed to limit carbon footprint and utilize renewable materials.

Our DFC inks and varnishes meet strict global protection standards and are designed with both people and the planet in mind.
