Black Rose and Japan’s Koei Chemical to research feasibility of amines production in India

Black Rose Industries Ltd, a Mumbai-based totally distributor and producer of chemicals, and Japan’s Koei Chemical Company Ltd have initiated a feasibility research for a collaborative venture to produce amine products. Koei Chemical, is majorly owned by using Sumitomo Chemical and is engaged in the manufacturing of legacy products like pyridines and amines, besides ionic liquids.

In a press statement, Black Rose said that it will set up production centers for the amine products using technology and know-how to be supplied by Koei Chemical. The parties are anticipated to enter into definitive agreements and will continue with the construction and installation of plant facilities once the overall feasibility is established.

“The venture will be another instance of how Black Rose harnesses the relationships from its distribution business into robust manufacturing partnerships,” stated Mr. Anup Jatia, Chairman of Black Rose. “We are excited to future improve our collaboration with Koei Chemical, and to enter into the sector of speciality amines which play an critical role for the future growth of the chemical industry in India”

“We are enthusiastic about the progress of this venture to manufacture our amine products in India,” stated Mr. Ray Nishimoto, President of Koei Chemical. “This collaborative venture in India is anticipated to add a strategic and vital arm to Koei Chemical and to enhance our competitiveness and footprint outside of Japan as well,” he added.
