Tanfac Industries – a joint venture of Anupam Rasayan and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) specializing in fluorine chemicals – has commissioned the second segment of its solar grade Dilute Hydro fluoric Acid (DHF) plant with a capacity of 5,000-tpa (anhydrous hydrogen fluoride basis) on 6th October 2025.
The corporation’s production facilities are spread over 60-acres in the chemical complex of SIPCOT Indus trial Estate, Cuddalore.
The commissioning follows fine approval of trial manufacturing batches, which met the needs of Tanfac’s solar energy clients.
Including the first phase of the venture commissioned in June 2025 (5,000-tpa AHF foundation), the corporation’s total solar grade DHF capacity has now attained 10,000-tpa (AHF basis).
“Tanfac is the primary and only chemical corporation in India to obtain this scale. This is another milestone in the history of Tanfac and has the capability of boosting the top and bottom lines substantially,” stated Mr. Afzal Malkani, the corporation’s Director.
