Chemstream, Synthex Organics Merge to Expand Specialty Chemical, Oilfield Solutions

The merged corporation will operate under the Chemstream name, incorporating distribution, research and development, and production throughout multiple U.S. Locations.

Specialty chemical producer Chemstream and Synthex Organics, a manufacturer of chemical products for the pulp and paper, energy and mining industries,  recently announced their merger.

The corporations, both based in Pennsylvania, will operate underneath the Chemstream name.

The merger combines Chemstream’s expertise in distribution, logistics and fluid systems with Synthex Organics’ chemical production and R&D capabilities, according to a news launch.

The corporations stated the incorporated will provide customers in oil and gas, water treatment and industrial markets with increasing technical assets and a broader portfolio of customized solutions.

“This merger represents the following evolution of Chemstream’s project: to innovate wherein chemistry meets performance,” stated Mike Stoltz, president of Chemstream, in a declaration. “Together, we’ll boost up innovation, expand technical capabilities, and offer unmatched value to our customers.”

Chemstream stated it’ll combine operations over the coming months, with accelerated R&D facilities in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and production and distribution hubs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Missouri, Illinois, Alabama, North Dakota and Texas.
