Industrial services group Bilfinger has secured a new multi-service framework agreement with specialty chemicals manufacturer Delamine, bringing engineering, set up, asset overall performance, get right of entry to and insulation services under a single contract at Delamine’s Delfzijl manufacturing site.
The 3-year agreement, which includes an alternative for a further 2-year extension, expands Bilfinger’s long-running relationship with Delamine and offers the German industrial services provider a wider role across the chemical plant’s asset lifecycle.
Under the framework, Bilfinger will offer services ranging from early-stage engineering and set up to maintenance-related asset performance work and specialized access and insulation solutions.
The single-source model is designed to lessen coordination among a couple of contractors and improve execution across disciplines, the company said.
“We are pleased to deepen our partnership with Delamine through bringing together expertise from all of our business units under one contract,” says Sandy Bonner, Segment President Western Europe at Bilfinger. “This incorporated approach permits us to enhance efficiency whilst delivering consistent quality across all disciplines. It also underlines our ambition to be No. 1 for our customers in improving performance and sustainability.”
The deal also introduces joint productivity improvement targets, along with the deployment of electric lifting and transport equipment targeted toward improving operational efficiency while decreasing the site’s environmental impact.
For Bilfinger, the addition of engineering services represents an enlargement of its existing relationship with Delamine, permitting the company to cover a much wider portion of the facility’s lifecycle instead of focusing primarily on individual maintenance and site-service activities.
