The relocation increase lithium-ion electrolyte supply and assist high-overall performance computing thermal solutions by strategic partnerships and technology evolution.

Mitsubishi Chemical Group subsidiaries are moving lithium-ion battery electrolyte production assets in Memphis, Tennessee, and Billingham, U.K., to Green Energy Origin (GEO), in keeping with the corporations. The switch, planned for March 31, 2026 pending regulatory approval, grows GEO’s manufacturing footprint and reinforces deliver to North American and Western European battery producers.

Luxembourg-primarily based GEO stated the purchase of the Memphis facility will permit instant deliver to the U.S. Midwest, increasing market access by 2 to 3 years. The U.K. Plant offers a strategically essential site for providing Western European customers within 4 to 6 hours.

The corporation included that the move assist regional incorporation of electrolyte supply chains and improves global research and development collaborations.
