Japan’s UBE-MARUZEN POLYETHYLENE (UMP), a 50-50 joint venture among the UBE Group and Maruzen Petrochemical, has officially released its ISCC PLUS-certified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) products at its Chiba Plant.
The corporation first acquired ISCC PLUS certification in December 2023. Since then, UMP has been advertising EVA made from sustainable raw materials by using of the mass balance technique. The corporation is now taking the step forward by formally releasing those certified products.
“ISCC PLUS is an international certification system that supports make sure and promote a sustainable supply chain, showing a commitment to environmental responsibility and a more sustainable future,” UMP stated.
The latest released products meet the lates ISCC PLUS need and are produced the use of biomass and circular materials via the mass balance method, assisting to reduce environmental effect.
“By expanding its portfolio of sustainable products, UMP goals to provide clients extra environmentally conscious choices as a part of its contribution to addressing global environmental challenges,” the corporation added.
