Petrobras Is In discussions with Companies for varied Initiatives

Brazil’s state-run Petrobras is in talks with different national oil corporations in China, India, and the Middle East, including Kuwait Petroleum and Qatar Energy, to collaborate on power initiatives, its leader govt stated on Wednesday.

The enterprise is also eager to paint with neighboring Venezuela, Jean-Paul Prates told Reuters on the sidelines of the India Energy Week event within the country of Goa.

“We have businesses of Asian nations that we are interacting very tons right now and we are building relationships right now – Gulf nations, India, and China,” he said.

“We’re going to satisfy with Kuwait Petroleum,” he stated, adding that he plans to speak about refurbishing and upgrading Brazilian refineries, initiatives in petrochemicals, fertilizers, and strength transition.

Petrobras is also looking at working with Qatar on liquefied natural gas (LNG) tasks, probably in West Africa or Brazil, he said.

“Each one going into their expertise, bringing them right down to Brazil or Latin America,” Prates said.

“The Atlantic is our desired operational surroundings. That way West Africa, Brazil, Guyana, and Equatorial Margin. That’s the regions we are going to focus on,” he said.

Prates stated Petrobras has also shaped assignment forces with Indian explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corp and refiner Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd to study tasks in Brazil as well as remote places, in refining and renewables. The Indian firms already very own stakes in Brazilian oil and gas blocks.

“We are going to reorganize the relationship inside the view of this new management at Petrobras,” said Prates, who took over as CEO a year ago after being tapped for the process through Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Petrobras is also exploring opportunities with Venezuela.

“We’re searching at the Venezuelan conditions each time in the future because they’ve been extra open to conversations with all groups. We observe the scenario of the sanctions, that were relieved,” he stated.
