LyondellBasell has announced Pro-Fax EP648R, a new polypropylene effect copolymer designed to satisfy hard performance demands across a huge range of industries.

“Pro-Fax EP648R represents our devotion to innovation and supplying differentiated solutions for our clients,” stated James Deaton, LYB commercial manager.

“It’s a dependable, high-performing resin that meets the developing needs of today’s demanding applications.”

Pro-Fax EP648R strikes the precise balance between effect resistance and stiffness, making it ideal for high-performance injection-molded products like garden furnishings, crates, pails, caps & closures and thin-walled packaging. This new grade uses advanced nucleation technology to increase rigidity without sacrificing toughness, supplying over a mechanical profile that rivals or surpasses top market options.

It additionally includes an anti-static additive which aids with easy part ejection during molding, saving converters time and money because of high-speed cycle times when paired with the resin’s advanced nucleation.
