OPEC cuts 2024, 2025 global oil demand growth view again

OPEC on Monday cut its forecast for global oil call for growth in 2024 reflecting records obtained up to now this year and additionally decreased its projection for subsequent year, marking the producer group’s third consecutive downward revision.

China accounted for the bulk of the 2024 downgrade as OPEC trimmed its Chinese increase forecast to 580,000 bpd from 650,000 bpd. While government stimulus measures will guide fourth-region call for, oil use is dealing with headwinds from monetary demanding situations and actions closer to cleanser fuels, OPEC said.
