Nuberg EPC, a Noida based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services firm targeted at the chemical process industry, has declared the award of an EPC contract to carry out 120-tpd chlor-alkali enlargement and a 80-tpd calcium chloride plant for Al Ghaith Chemical Industries LLC at Sur Industrial City, Oman.
According to a Nuberg press declaration, the evolution marks the second phase of Al Ghaith’s incorporated chemical complex in Sur and represents the first of-its-type, large-scale chlor-alkali expansion in Oman. Performing on a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) basis, the venture scope covers design, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and handover. In segment I, Nuberg EPC successfully introduced a 70-tpd chlor-alkali plant, establishing Al Ghaith’s production base in Oman. The recent expansion adds 120-tpd of chlor-alkali capacity, taking the plant’s total potential to190-tpd. Nuberg EPC and Al Ghaith Industries previously collaborated in Abu Dhabi – for a 60-tpd chlor-alkali plant, later accelerated to 120-tpd,125-tpd calcium chloride plant and a 50 final targeted within 19 months, tpd carbon dioxide (CO2 ) plant.
