LCY and Milliken reveal high-performance polypropylene for heavy-duty applications

LCY, a main polypropylene producers, has teamed up with global varied producers Milliken & corporation to release 737U, a latest high-performance polypropylene grade strengthened with Milliken’s DeltaMax 5000a additive technology.

Formed for injection molding programs ranging from paint containers and automotive parts to furniture, outdoors equipment, and high weight-loading containers, 737U guarantees tremendous stiffness and effect strength, making it for demanding environments and heavy-duty usage.

“The release of 737U marks a considerable milestone for LCY and our customers,” stated Lachosi Lin, Marketing and Sales Executive at LCY. “By operating intently with Milliken, we’re capable of supply a polypropylene grade that mixes extremely good impact strength, high gloss, and efficient processing. This development allows us to fulfill the evolving requirements of industries that need both durability and design flexibility.”

By now approved through a leading paint brand for 3–20L packaging, 737U has showed sturdy performance in falling and stacking tests. The grade also helps in-mold labeling, permitting seamless incorporation of design factors into molded products. Compared with traditional effect polypropylene, 737U delivers higher gloss, making it ideal for exterior components in customer products.

“LCY’s 737U grade exemplifies how collaboration and development can supply real-world overall performance,” stated Min Shun Cheng, Technical Manager at Milliken. “By using our DeltaMax technology, we’re assisting LCY meet the technical aspects and developing demand for long lasting, high-gloss polypropylene solutions that also aid efficient processing.”

LCY was the first consumer in Taiwan to adopt DeltaMax, creating the place’s first industrial grade in 2020. The additive improves processing efficiency, permitting faster cycle times and progressed moldability.
