BASF’s Performance Materials partition has came to a new breakthrough in its sustainability path with the certification of all ten of its European manufacturing sites beneath the REDcert scheme. This certification underscores BASF’s commitment to progressing circularity and decreasing the utilization of fossil feedstocks in the chemical industry.

The success follows the change of BASF Performance Materials’ European sites to renewable electricity in advance this year. With the current certification of its polyurethane manufacturing site in Malacky, Slovakia, the partition now gives clients certified mass balance solutions across its complete network of plants in Europe.

“At BASF, we do not simplest talk approximately thoughts; we deliver evidence factors,” stated Alexander Weiser, Head of BASF Performance Materials Europe. “This certification marks another breakthrough on #OurPlasticsJourney, demonstrating our dedication to sustainability and circularity in plastics. With it, we are completely prepared to meet our clients’ requirement for sustainable solutions today and in the future.”
