India and Norway to deepen collaboration in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and green shipping

India and Norway are searching at methods to enhance cooperation in diverse fields which includes renewable energy, green hydrogen, solar and wind ventures, and green shipping. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Store, in Rio de Janeiro at the sidelines of the G20 Summit.

Both Prime Ministers took inventory of the progress in bilateral relations and discussed approaches to in addition strengthen cooperation in diverse fields. Noting that the signing of the India-European Free Trade Association – Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (India-EFTA-TEPA) was an crucial milestone in bilateral relations, the two leaders reaffirmed its significance for attracting big investments into India from EFTA nations, including Norway.

“Bilateral discussions also centered on enhancing cooperation in areas like blue economy, renewable energy, green hydrogen, solar and wind ventures, geo-thermal energy, green shipping, Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS), fisheries, space and the Arctic,” stated the Prime Minister’s Office in a declaration.
