The session is part of a 2-day convention titled “Gujarat Chem & Petchem Conference 2025” on May 8-9, 2025 at Hotel Hyatt Place, Bharuch, Gujarat. The subject of GCPC 2025 Conference 2025 is Viksit Gujarat: Viksit Bharat@2047.

The essential objective of the convention is to understand the fundamental problems of Chemicals and Petrochemicals plants in Gujarat and prepare a solution roadmap by diverse brainstorming sessions and presentations. Along with the Conference, there’s an Expo in which Exhibitors are showing their modern day developments, technologies, and other offerings to improves operational performance, safety, and sustainability of plants.

Transforming operational efficiency and production excellence in chemical plant life includes a multifaceted technique that encompasses technology, processes, workforce management, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. Automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0 equipment like real-time data analytics and predictive maintenance improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance resource utilization. Process intensification—using developed reactor designs or modular systems—cuts energy intake and waste whilst increasing output. Digital twins allows simulation and optimization of plant operations, making sure precision and protection. Lean production principles streamline workflows, minimizing inefficiencies, whilst AI-driven supply chain management improves needs forecasting and inventory control.

There is also a need to highlights green chemistry and circular economy practices, which include recycling byproducts and adopting renewable energy, which aligns with environmental goals. Moreover, team of workers upskilling will ensure adaptability to these innovations, positioning chemical plant as agile, cost-powerful, and globally competitive leaders in manufacturing excellence.

The session will emphasize defining a strategic roadmap for improving operational efficiency and production excellence in the chemical industry.

Points to be mentioned in the course of the session are: Digital transformation and process optimization; automation and robotics, overall performance metrics and KPIs; development and R&D; Sustainability and environmental stewardship; Supply chain optimization; Customer-centric method; and Risk management.
