Corbion, Brain Biotech join forces to generate biobased antimicrobial compounds

Corbion, a international leader in sustainable components, and Brain Biotech AG, a innovators in specialty enzyme and microbial technology, have declared a planned collaboration to generate pioneering biobased antimicrobial compounds and derivatives. This partnership target to increase the development of natural preservation solutions for food producers at the same time as meeting increasing purchaser requirement for clean-label, nature-based products.

“At Corbion, improving nature-primarily based ingredient technologies and showing their performance is central to our mission of preserving what matters,” stated Domenico Vulcano, Vice President of Global Innovation at Corbion. “Partnering with Brain Biotech lets in us to combine our abilities in food systems with their innovative microbial and enzyme technologies, getting the next generation of sustainable food preservation solutions to market faster.”

Corbion complements this with deep observation into food systems, biobased preservation, and big-scale testing and commercialization capabilities.
