AM Green, a green ammonia firm included by the founders of Hyderabad based Greenko Group, Anil Chalamalasetty and Mahesh Kolli, has joined forces with DP World, a international logistics major, to generate a sustainable deliver chain for green fuels and chemicals.

This collaboration will substantially improve international decarbonisation efforts by using allowing seamless exports to key intake markets.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), DP World and AM Green will together broaden logistics and storage infrastructure to facilitate the worldwide export of one million tonnes according to annum (mtpa) of green ammonia and 1 MTPA of green methanol. This includes:

  • Developing port infrastructure throughout AM Green net-zero commercial clusters to facilitate international exports,
  • Developing bunkering infrastructure across Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia for green ammonia and methanol supplied from AM Green plants,
  • Establishing strategic terminal infrastructure across the European Union, Far East, and UAE to offer the required zero carbon supply chain to guide their transition to a low carbon economy.

AM Green is evolving a couple of ventures across India, the use of renewable energy assets, including solar, wind and hydroelectric power, to manufacture Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), green ammonia, green hydrogen, chemicals and biofuels. It has an aspiring aim of 5 mtpa of manufacturing capacity by 2030. The enterprise has already taken a very last investment decision for a 1 mtpa green ammonia plan in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
