ACC Backs House Bill Aimed at Reforming TSCA Reviews

As per the council, the bill would offer long-term enhancements to the regulatory framework governing chemical approvals, supporting ensure the U.S. stays aggressive in advanced production. ACC noted public polling showing wide support for updating TSCA, observing that respondents associate reforms with raised job creation and production investment.

ACC also indicated to recent steps taken by EPA leadership to steady the program but stated legislative action is needed to give durable fixes. The organization stated the idea could assist decrease the backlog of latest chemical reviews and enhance regulatory certainly for corporations developing and commercializing new technologies.

The council praised House Energy & Commerce Committee leadership for advancing the legislation, announcing it represents an opportunity to reinforce U.S. Chemical production amid growing global competition.
