Gem Aromatics, a Mumbai-based producer of speciality ingredients like essential oils and aroma chemicals, has declared commencement of commercial manufacturing at its latest Dahej (Gujarat) facility of cooling agents (WS-23 and WS-03) and clove products (clove oil and eugenol) by its absolutely-owned subsidiary, Krystal Ingredients Pvt. Ltd.
WS-23 and WS-03 are synthetic cooling agents giving intense, clean cooling sensations without sturdy minty flavours, unlike traditional menthol, making them popular in oral care, food and cosmetics applications. They are repeatedly blended to form a complicated, long-lasting cooling sensation that mixes WS-23’s pure chill with WS-3 minty touch.
The new facility strengthens the corporation’s presence in niche segments and assist its strategy to diversify beyond mint derivatives into high-value speciality ingredients. The facility integrates advanced process technologies and stringent quality systems to ensure the manufacturing of high-purity, superior grade aroma ingredients. Mr. Yash Vipul Parekh, Managing Director and CEO of the corporation said the begin of commercial operations marks an crucial milestone for the corporation and shows its commitment to building future-ready capabilities. He brought that the creation of cooling agents, at the side of forth coming high-value providing such as citral and phenol derivatives, will deepen product diversification and reduce reliance on mint-based ingredients. GEM Aromatics operates 3-centers positioned in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Daman & Diu, with a total installed capacity of 5,346-tpa.
