UPL and CAC Nantong Chemical ink agreement for commercialization of cyproflanilide insecticide

Cyproflanilide is a unique insecticide invented via CAC Nantong, providing relatively powerful chewing pest control and pest resistance management across key vegetation

UPL Corporation Ltd. (UPL Corp), a international provider of holistic and sustainable agricultural solutions, and CAC Nantong Chemical Co. Ltd. (CAC Nantong), a leading agrochemical enterprise in China, jointly announce a new strategic partnership to develop, sign in, and commercialize cyproflanilide merchandise inside their respective markets.

Cyproflanilide is a new, proprietary insecticide mainly designed to combat pest resistance. It is powerful throughout a huge variety of chewing pests in multiple vegetations, including but not limited to rice, corn, cotton, soybeans, fruits, and vegetables.

Cyproflanilide gives high efficacy at low use charges towards a broad pest spectrum, including lepidoptera pests proof against the maximum mounted active ingredients, through both contact and ingestion. The compound is quite versatile, making it appropriate for application in foliar and soil in addition to the public health sector.

Cyproflanilide is expected to be classified as a meta-diamide in IRAC’s Group 30 listing of compounds. The registration process for cyproflanilide is underway with approval predicted in China in the near future. UPL Corp and CAC Nantong expect the first wave of registrations in varies countries over the next 3 years.
