The acquisition of the Nexchlor HCl business builds upon Jones-Hamilton’s strategic focus on strengthening its position as one among North America’s main resources of hydrochloric acid
Jones-Hamilton Co. (JH), a leading manufacturer and marketer of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium bisulfate, has introduced its acquisition of Dallas-based Nexchlor LLC, an entirely owned subsidiary of Copperbeck Energy Partners LLC (a portfolio agency of Tailwater Capital).
As part of the Nexchlor acquisition, Jon Cupps has associated Jones-Hamilton within the function of Division Manager of the enterprises Chemicals Division with responsibility for JH’s hydrochloric acid enterprise and associated chlor-alkali sales activities. Cupps brings over 20 years of numerous chlor-alkali industry enterprise management experience to JH. In addition to its three HCl production units, JH has constructed an extended North American logistics community which includes terminals, a railcar fleet of over 300 automobiles, and a massive tank trailer fleet. JH is a member of, and devoted to, the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care action targeted on protection and sustainability.
