Late on December 26, ammonia fuel leaked from a pipeline that runs from the sea to the factory. The stage of ammonia in the air became 2,090 micrograms, in preference to the familiar level of 400 micrograms. In the sea, it changed into 49 milligrams per liter (mg/l) towards the same old of five mg/l, the pollutants board observed.

The National Green Tribunal took up the case on its personal and is hearing the matter.
